Made to the original recipe first recorded in the 1862 edition of 'How to Mix Drinks, Or the Bon-Vivants Companion', by Prof. Jerry Thomas.
A base spirit of Scotch whisky is infused with the peel of oranges grown in the sunny Hawke's Bay of New Zealand before being sweetened to leave a liqueur of 41% abv that can be used in cocktails requiring 'triple sec' or 'dry curacao' or similar orange-flavoured liqueur.
